Promoter shares sales of NMB Bank
Shares of NMB Bank’s founder group (promoter) have come up for auction. Some of the founding shareholders of the bank are going to sell 1,49,693 shares in their name through auction.
Investors wishing to buy the promoter shares of the bank will have to apply by secretly sealing the number of shares they want to buy without deducting the minimum price of Rs. 220 per share.
Founders interested in purchasing the bank’s shares must submit an application to NMB Bank’s office at Babermahal, Kathmandu within 35 days from (December 10).
Only existing founder shareholders will be able to apply for the auctioned shares. The bank has stated that if no application is received from any of the founders in that period, the sale will be opened so that the general public can also buy it.
Asian Life convenes general meeting to pass dividend proposal:
Asian Life Insurance (ALICL) has convened a general meeting to approve the dividend proposal announced to be distributed to the shareholders from the last financial year’s profit.
Insurance had announced to distribute 25 percent bonus shares and 2 percent cash dividend for tax purposes from the accumulated profits till the fiscal year 2076/77. The insurance company has convened its 13th annual general meeting on January 6 at Hotel Diallo Lord’s Plaza, Adarshnagar, Birgunj to pass the same dividend. The meeting will start at 11:30 am.
The meeting will pass resolutions including authorizing the board of directors to amend the management letter and rules of insurance, seeking approval from the regulatory body to operate the collective investment fund in Asian Capital Limited, which is 51 percent owned by the insurance, and authorizing the board of directors to implement it.
For the purpose of the general meeting, the insurance company is going to close the book for one day on January 25. Accordingly, the existing shareholders who have traded in Nepse till January 26 will be able to participate in the general meeting of the insurance company and receive the dividend distributed by the insurance company.
